I grew up hearing that heaven was somewhere up there, and you had to earn your way in. Be good long enough and maybe they’d open the gate.
It took me a long time to notice the line that’s been sitting in plain sight for two thousand years. In Luke 17:21, Jesus says the kingdom of God is within you. Not up there. In here.
Heaven and hell aren’t places
The gates of heaven and hell aren’t somewhere out there. They’re inside you, and you walk through one or the other every day. Every breath. Every choice. Every assumption you run about who you are and what’s coming.
Heaven is a frequency. Hell is a frequency. And right now, you’re the one choosing which one to live in.
Every tradition pointed here
This isn’t one religion’s idea. In the very first chapter of You Are Not You I say it straight: everything in the book is old. As above, so below. The kingdom is within you. What you assume is what you become. The greats have been pointing at the same thing for thousands of years. I just wrote it down in plain language.

Heaven is a state of mind (so is hell)
Think about the worst stretch of your life. The outside might have been bad, sure. But the real hell was the loop in your head. The replaying. The dread. The voice telling you it would always be like this.
Now think about a moment when everything felt right, even if nothing on paper had changed. That was the same world. Different frequency.
That’s the idea behind Chapter 6 of the book, Frequency First, Action After. Change the state underneath and everything downstream starts to change with it.
You already hold the keys
You don’t need permission to walk into heaven. You don’t have to earn it. The keys were never taken away from you.
The world will keep offering you new kings, new idols, new saviors. Somebody always wants to stand at the gate and sell you a ticket. But the kingdom was never lost. It’s been waiting inside you the whole time.
I went further with this in another short. The thing people have been waiting on for two thousand years might be the thing they keep handing their power to.
How to choose heaven today
1. Check your state
Before anything that matters, stop and notice what frequency you’re in. Braced? Resentful? Rushed? That’s the gate you’re about to walk through.
2. Reset before you act
A few slow breaths. One line you believe. Then act from there, not from the old loop.
3. Make one decision from the end
Each day, make one small choice as the version of you who already lives there. That’s how you move in. More on that: living in the end and the state akin to sleep.
The point
Heaven and hell live within you. You hold the keys. Choose your light.
