Is it wrong to want money? Or sex, or a loud ridiculous life that nobody would call spiritual? I could not care less, and I say that with love.
This is not a church. These are neutral tools, like a hammer. A hammer does not ask whether you are building a birdhouse or something the city has opinions about. It drives the nail.
WATCH
Use it to become a monk or use it to become a mogul
It does not matter to me and it does not matter to the mechanism. Be the devoted family man. Be the guy who goes out on Friday, tips well, and does not explain himself to anybody.
My job is handing you the controls back. What you do once you have them is not my department, and anybody who tells you their method only works for approved desires is selling you their taste, not a tool.
The only question actually worth asking
Is this what you want, or is it somebody else’s dream that you are living out?
That is the whole examination. Not whether the thing is spiritual enough. Whether the order has your name on it.
I chased an entire career partly to prove something to my father, who was not even really watching. Got everything on the list. Felt like nothing. That is not a story about wanting too much. It is a story about wanting something that was never mine to want.
How to tell whose dream it is
Picture having it, and nobody ever finds out. No post, no announcement, nobody from your old school sees it. Your parents never know. Do you still want it?
If the thing goes flat the second there is no audience, it was never your want. It was a bid for approval wearing a goal costume, and those never pay out, because the person you are bidding to was never watching in the first place.
If it still feels good in private, it is yours. Go get it and stop apologizing in the comments.
Why the spiritual filter gets pushed on you
Partly because wanting things is easier to shame than to examine. Partly because a crowd that needs permission is easier to sell to.
There is also a version of this that comes from decent people who got burned chasing money and concluded money was the problem. It usually was not. The problem was that it was somebody else’s number.
Want the unspiritual, materialistic, completely selfish thing you actually want. Just make sure your name is on the order and not somebody else’s return address.
Common questions
Does wanting money block manifestation? Wanting blocks it, full stop, and that has nothing to do with the subject being money. Wanting is the signature of not having. Assume it instead.
Is it selfish to focus on myself? A person running on empty has nothing to hand anybody. This piece covers that if you have got kids.
What if I do not know what I want? Normal. Start by crossing off what you know is inherited. What is left is a shorter list than you think.
The point
Aligns with the book completely. The entire premise is that the programming you are running was installed by other people, and most of what people call ambition is inherited wanting. The tools are neutral. Who the order belongs to is the only thing I care about.
Read the voice in your head is not yours, then stop comparing yourself to them.
The book is You Are Not You. It is not out yet, but the first three chapters and the one-page protocol are free. Get them here.
