Do Crystals and Sage Actually Work? They Are Mirrors, Not Engines

So do crystals and sage work, or is all of it nonsense? I never said it was nonsense. Sage smells incredible. Burn it. Light the whole bundle.

What I am saying is that it does not do what people think it does, and believing the wrong thing about it costs you more than the sage did.

WATCH

When a ritual works, here is what worked

You believed it would. That belief shifted what you assumed about the next hour, the next conversation, the next week. And what you assume is the thing that produces results.

The smoke did not do it. You did.

Here is the test that settles it. Burn sage in a skeptic’s living room while they are watching football. Nothing happens. Nothing has ever happened. Smoke is just smoke, and it has no opinion about anybody’s energy.

Same for tarot and pendulums

They are mirrors. That is not an insult, mirrors are useful.

What a card actually does is quiet the thinking part of you long enough for the part that already knows to say something. You pull a card, you read it, and some reaction moves in your chest before you have finished the sentence. That reaction was already in you. The card just gave it a door.

Think of it as wifi for your unconscious. The signal was already in the room. The tool is the receiver.

The moment it turns on you

The second you think the card has the answer, you have handed something over.

The second you think an object outside you is telling you your fate, deciding whether to take the job, ruling on whether he is the one, you have given your power to something that cannot hold it. A rock cannot carry your life. It is a rock. A very pretty one that somebody mined and marked up four hundred percent.

And that is the actual harm, which is not the twelve dollars. It is the habit of looking outside yourself for a verdict. Do that long enough and you forget you were ever the one deciding. Same thing happens with spirit guides.

Use the tools. Point them the right way

Inward. That is the whole correction.

Pull a card and ask what reaction it pulled out of you, not what it predicts. Hold the crystal because it puts you in a certain state and that state is useful, not because quartz is doing something to your field. Burn the sage because the smell marks a line between the day you had and the evening you want.

All of that is legitimate. A ritual that gets you into a state is a tool. A ritual you believe is doing the work for you is an outsourcing contract.

Common questions

Are crystals a scam then? The object is not a scam, the claim about the object usually is. Buy it because you like it. Do not buy it because somebody told you it clears blockages.

Is tarot bad to use? No. As a mirror it is genuinely good, better than most journaling prompts. As an oracle it slowly trains you to stop trusting yourself.

What about sage for clearing a space? It clears your state, which changes the room because you are in it. That is not nothing. It is just you doing it.

The point

This aligns with the book straight through. The whole premise is that nothing outside you has authority over you unless you hand it over, which is also why nobody can put a spell on you. Belief is the engine. Everything else in the drawer is a steering wheel at best.

The book is You Are Not You. It is not out yet, but the first three chapters and the one-page protocol are free. Get them here.
